My wish for my painting 'Autumn Reflections' - was to capture the vibrant and reflected autumnal colour of the trees in the river. Reflections in water are tantalising and I love to portray them. The autumnal colours of the plants, trees and grasses in this painting are vivid, especially against the deep blue water. The rickety little gate, seemingly going nowhere, has also always intrigued me.
'Autumn Reflections' is one of my earlier pastel paintings, inspired by an excellent young photographer and artist, Henry Sheriff. Henry sadly passed away in the 1980's but his photographic work is displayed on the walls of his family home. Thank you Henry.
My 'Autumn Reflections' pastel painting is no longer available. From the sale of my 'Autumn Reflections' Wildlife Art, Fine Art Prints and Miniature Fine Art Print Greetings Cards a donation is given to charity.
